They are not commandments. They are the working conditions we return to when a decision is uncertain — a compass, not a cage.
Reflection over prediction.
We do not attempt to foretell the future. Our work exists to encourage observation, self-inquiry, and meaningful conversation.
Mystery, not mystification.
Real mystery invites more thought. Mystification shuts it down. Where we suspect rather than know, we say so plainly.
Slow work.
Every project is designed to be lived with — not consumed. We would rather publish one honest study than ten polished distractions.
Interdisciplinary by design.
Symbolism, psychology, philosophy, mythology, neuroscience, and history read the same world in different tongues. We work between them.
Respect for the reader.
Our audience is curious, thoughtful, and adult. We do not withhold context to appear profound, and we do not oversimplify to feel accessible.
Craft as ethics.
Typography, materials, sources, and language are all moral choices. The care taken in the object is the care taken with the reader.
